About the position

The Lead Technician is responsible for providing maintenance services to the entire plant, focusing on electrical, electronic, and automation issues. This role involves troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and working on scheduled downtime. The technician will also engage in advanced troubleshooting of automation systems, system redesign, and new equipment installation.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls from the plant's process lines for automation and electrical breakdowns and makes necessary repairs.
• Repairs or replaces defective or damaged components affecting process lines, including identifying and retrieving necessary parts.
• Completes work as assigned on maintenance work orders, including electrical, mechanical, and automation tasks.
• Fills out daily reports on work completed, logged by the Maintenance Turn Leader.
• Reports major system problems requiring engineering services to the assigned Engineer.
• Fills out calibration logs for critical instrumentation and PM Check Sheets.
• Performs housekeeping in all areas of the plant as assigned.
• Performs miscellaneous jobs assigned by Supervisors, Engineers, or Managers.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Degree or Equivalent (GED).
• Two-year Technical College Degree in Electronics or a field related to Industrial Automation.
