The manager will coordinate with vendors and printing services to produce ballots for local, state, and federal elections. The manager will also oversee the secure storage and transportation of voting equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally to maintain the integrity of the election process. In addition to ballot and equipment management, the Election Systems Manager will assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory control and the management of election supplies. This includes ensuring proper storage and maintenance of election materials and supporting logistics related to the distribution and retrieval of these materials. The manager will supervise, train, and evaluate election staff, including temporary workers and volunteers, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Training is another critical aspect of this role, as the manager will be responsible for training poll workers and staff on the use of voting machines and other election technologies. They will provide technical support during the voting process and develop training materials for election systems. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations is paramount, and the manager will implement and monitor security measures to protect election data and equipment, conducting regular audits and assessments of the systems in place. Project management is also a key responsibility, as the Election Systems Manager will plan and coordinate election-related projects, manage timelines, resources, and budgets, and collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth election operations. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in election administration, IT management, or a related field.
  • Experience programming ballots with Dominion.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with election technology and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing staff.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, especially during election periods.
  • Physical ability to lift and move election equipment and supplies.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
