About the position

Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty, is seeking a Project Coordinator for its Energy Division. This role is pivotal in managing various aspects of project execution, particularly in the electric utility sector. The Project Coordinator will be involved in program and project management, focusing on transmission line engineering, substation engineering, and construction oversight for projects that range from 4kV to 765kV. The company is headquartered in Akron, OH, and operates nationally, managing approximately $500 million in construction projects for electric utilities across the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.S. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in preconstruction planning, facilitating site meetings, and driving collaboration among team members. They will also be responsible for conducting Last Planner meetings, ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and coordinating safety measures on energy sites. This position requires overall site support for Project Managers, making it essential for the Project Coordinator to possess excellent leadership and facilitation skills. Requirements

  • Electrical or Civil Engineering preferred - equivalent degree required (including Construction Management)
  • 1 to 4 years previous experience in the Energy sector
  • 230kv Reb Transmission line and Substation background preferred
  • Lean experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership and facilitation skills
  • Safety focused
