About the position

The Electrical and Automation Engineer position involves managing electrical and automation projects for a leading food and beverage company. The role focuses on designing and implementing control systems, overseeing vendor compliance, and ensuring adherence to industry standards to support factory operations.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize User Requirement Specifications (URS) for electrical and automation projects.
• Develop scopes of work, evaluate bids, and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Design and review electrical schematics using AutoCAD, ensuring alignment with company standards.
• Create and modify pneumatic designs, control designs, and MCC (Motor Control Center) setups.
• Design HMI screens using Wonderware software.
• Develop simulation plans to test SCADA functionalities such as recipe management and product routing.
• Work cross-functionally to achieve electrical and automation objectives for the factory.
• Streamline processes by developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical or automation engineering.
• 1+ year of experience in SCADA and HMI programming.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and PLC programming (Studio 5000).
• Knowledge of industry standards like OSHA and UL.
