About the position

Foth Production Solutions is seeking a motivated and innovative Electrical and Controls Engineering Co-op for the Spring/Summer of 2025. This position is designed for students who are eager to apply their electrical engineering knowledge in a practical setting while working under the guidance of experienced engineers. The co-op will be based in Green Bay, WI, and will focus on applying electrical engineering fundamentals to real-world projects. The successful candidate will engage in various design tasks, including the development of detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software packages. Additionally, the co-op will involve programming PLCs and HMI hardware, as well as assisting with the validation of software and drawing databases. The role will also require the completion of an engineering-related project, which will involve investigating, reviewing, and evaluating a specific technology or piece of equipment against current methodologies. This hands-on experience is aimed at enhancing the co-op's understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application in solving complex technical challenges faced by clients in the consumer product sector. Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical engineering fundamentals to design tasks under supervision.
  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Program PLCs and HMI hardware.
  • Assist with validation of software and drawing databases.
  • Complete an engineering-related project involving technology investigation and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of 6+ semesters in an ABET accredited electrical engineering program with at least 50% core engineering coursework.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 and currently in good standing.
  • Previous experience with mid-level AutoCAD training and functionality.
  • Theory and/or programming experience with industrial PLCs.
