About the position

Foth Production Solutions is seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Electrical and Controls Engineering Co-op for the Spring/Summer of 2025. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to our clients' success while gaining valuable learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. The co-op will be based in our Green Bay, WI location and will involve applying electrical engineering fundamentals while performing design tasks under the supervision of a lead engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software packages. Additionally, you will program PLCs and HMI hardware, and assist with the validation of software and drawing databases. A significant aspect of this position will also involve completing an engineering-related project, which includes investigating, reviewing, and evaluating technology or equipment against current approaches in use today. This hands-on experience will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with consumer product companies to solve their toughest technical challenges, streamline capital spending, and enable operational efficiencies. Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical engineering fundamentals while performing design tasks under the supervision of a lead engineer.
  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software packages.
  • Program PLCs and HMI hardware.
  • Assist with the validation of software and drawing databases.
  • Complete an engineering-related project including investigation, review, and evaluation of technology or equipment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of 6+ semesters in an ABET accredited electrical engineering program, with at least 50% core engineering coursework.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 and currently in good standing.
  • Required previous experience with and/or coursework involving mid-level AutoCAD training and functionality.
  • Theory and/or programming of industrial PLCs.
