About the position

The Electrical Apprentice/Helper position at Taurus Industrial Group involves assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. The role requires following electrical codes and specifications while utilizing various hand and power tools. The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced electricians to ensure safe and effective operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables and wires to machines and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus using test equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty electric components, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Test malfunctioning or broken equipment and discuss issues with other workers.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and fixtures.
• Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated areas and pull insulated wires through the conduit.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Requirements

• Valid Texas Driver's License required to drive company vehicle.
• Valid Texas Electrical Apprentice License required.
• Ability to install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
• Strong reading comprehension skills for understanding work-related documents.
• Active listening skills to understand and respond to others effectively.
• Troubleshooting skills to determine causes of operating errors.
• Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment for tasks.

Nice-to-haves
