About the position

The Apprentice Electrician position is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field. Working under the supervision of experienced electricians, the apprentice will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and industrial settings, while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems and equipment.
• Learn to use testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Work on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with senior electricians to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
• Gain knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications.

Requirements

• Previous experience or coursework related to electrical work is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with industrial electrician practices is a plus.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and electrical schematics is advantageous.
