About the position

The Electrical Assembler position involves conducting pre and post-assembly functions, including product testing and repairing electrical/electronic equipment. The role requires collaboration with management to ensure that products meet customer requirements and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures; install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings using electronic material, soldering, and electrical equipment.
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors for operation and record results.
  • Evaluate and diagnose root cause of product testing failures.
  • Repair and maintain electrical test equipment, recommending replacements when necessary.
  • Navigate BOM management systems to ensure assembly processes and procedures are updated.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to follow written instructions/procedures to test and assemble manufacturing products, including troubleshooting testing issues.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information, and validate understanding of the information.
  • Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Must have basic familiarity with computers and computer use; proficiency in computer skills is a plus.
  • Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs either individually or with assistance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, socket wrenches, hammers, pliers, wire cutters, tape measure, and other job-related tools.
  • Required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
