About the position

As an Electrical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of precision components, ensuring that each part meets high standards of quality and safety. This position involves hands-on work with sheet metal, utilizing blueprints and process specifications to create and inspect components. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect sheet metal parts to ensure specifications are met
  • Assemble components by installing ground studs, attaching nutplates, or bonding
  • Work from and follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout and modification sheets, and engineering orders
  • Pull parts from bins and report any shortages to the Supervisor
  • Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications
  • Clean components, load parts onto jigs/fixtures, and prepare them for assembly
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces as required
  • Perform quality checks, call for inspection, and work on rework tasks as needed to eliminate non-conformance
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure that all actions align with our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Scrutinize every aspect of the job and report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the Supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, will be required to take a pre-employment assessment
  • Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices is a plus
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10-50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in an environment with varying noise levels, ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work instructions and assemble parts
  • Skilled in using a variety of small hand tools
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members regularly
