Electrical Assistant / Apprentice

About the position

The Electrical Assistant / Apprentice position involves supporting electricians in the installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that electrical work is performed safely and in accordance with construction codes, while also maintaining an organized and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician.
• Handle the bulk of materials and keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Maintain a clean work area and demonstrate safe work habits.
• Assist in conduit bending and installation.
• Assist in mounting and strapping equipment.
• Assist in hanging rail systems.
• Complete any additional job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction codes.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and personal protective equipment.

• Previous experience in electrical work or construction is a plus.
