Electrical BIM Technician

About the position

The Electrical BIM Technician at Newbold Advisors is responsible for designing power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for retail space projects. The role requires a highly organized individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with team members while managing project schedules and budgets. The technician will draft preliminary layouts based on engineering notes and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

• Draft preliminary layouts from engineering notes, sketches, and other drawings.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and codes.
• Schedule and budget project tasks effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate project scope clearly.

Requirements

• Associate or Technical Degree in Design/Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as an electrical BIM technician on retail space projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit; MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask on several projects.
• Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
