About the position

The Electrical Cabling and Interconnection Engineer plays a crucial role in leading projects with significant scope and impact within the Generator & Electrical Systems team. This position focuses on the design and support of electrical engineering initiatives, particularly in interconnection and cabling detailed design for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Power Plant projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute interconnections and cabling for electrical power, I/C, and network cabling for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Power Plant projects.
  • Ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) and fulfillment of design and quality of the scope of supply.
  • Lead technical issue resolution for internal and external customers.
  • Review internal and external deliverables from team members.
  • Verify concepts, calculations, and sizing of engineering parameters.
  • Support engineering guidelines, design criteria, and specifications according to applicable rules and good engineering practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to execute project deliverables.
  • Review and support technical issues, site issues, commissioning, and root cause analysis for engineering-related issues.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the engineering environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NEMA/ICEA, and IEEE standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge and proven experience of interconnections and equipment interfaces.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to make quick technical decisions with limited data.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong work ethics with ownership and accountability of work output.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and establish working relationships with cross-functional teams.
