About the position

ALSPI is seeking a skilled Electrical CAD Drafter to join their high-tech manufacturing team. The role involves creating electrical diagrams for interface cabinets, data collection units, and server cabinets used in corrosion monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software and a strong understanding of electrical drafting practices.

Responsibilities

• Designing component layout for electrical enclosures.
• Generating wiring and layout drawings.
• Estimating power consumption and heat generation, and planning suitable cooling.
• Generating the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Interfacing with departmental personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials required.
• Revising computer-aided designs and plans to comply with modified specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of a two-year degree or a bachelor's degree in electrical design, drafting, or electrical/electronic technology.
• One year of prior experience in electrical drafting using AutoCAD Electrical or SEE Electrical CAD is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of electrical drafting practices and standards.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, including layout planning and BOM creation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SEE Electrical CAD.
