About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical CAD Operator to join their Electrical team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves using computer drafting software to create site plans and construction drawings, ensuring adherence to company standards and practices. Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects.
• Design and produce sets of plans; implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Assist in maintaining the drawing database.
• Perform routine analysis to check the accuracy of data.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
