About the position

GlobalFoundries is seeking an engineer to join the 300mm semiconductor Yield Engineering Team, focusing on Electrical Characterization. This role is crucial for supporting wafer electrical test disposition and inline electrical process control, ensuring the quality and efficiency of high-volume manufacturing silicon. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering and statistics, with a keen interest in problem-solving and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Electrical characterization of semiconductor devices and health-of-line electrical test structures (HOL) to sustain volume production.
• Disposition of production materials and electrical test support for fab operations.
• Review electrical test (ET), Health of Line (HOL), and inline statistical process control (SPC) to analyze sources of variation and improve line control.
• Communicate with customers regarding electrical targeting, trends, and Cpk/variability.
• Conduct electrical analysis of controlled process changes for device, defectivity, and yield improvements.
• Support engineering teams on manufacturing ramp, cost reduction, and risk analysis.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
• Working knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
• Affinity for quick learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Prior related internship or work experience.
• Project management skills, including the ability to innovate and execute on solutions.
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
