About the position

The Electrical/Computer Engineer II position at Scientific Research Corporation involves working on advanced engineering projects related to electrical and computer engineering. The role focuses on the development, design, and prototyping of RF systems and digital signal processing applications, requiring a strong background in engineering principles and hands-on experience with various technologies. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative solutions and support for government and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses of technical engineering data and verify product documentation for adequacy and reliability in RF systems.
  • Develop, document, and recommend solutions for technical RF engineering problems.
  • Research and prepare engineering presentations, reports, and process studies for program and design reviews.
  • Maintain active interfaces and coordination of technical information among engineering groups, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Analyze and maintain technical databases and supportive engineering documentation.
  • Provide theoretical understanding in areas such as radio wave propagation and digital signal processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Three or more years of experience as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer or Computer Engineer in development, design, and prototyping.
  • Possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and supporting digital signal processing and RF applications.
  • Experience programming and configuring microcontrollers, FPGAs, SoCs, and single board computers.
  • Experience designing and developing RF cable assemblies and PCBs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of experience in electrical/electronics or computer engineering.
  • Experience with modeling software such as MATLAB and SimuLink.
  • Experience in threat system analysis and RF signal processing.
  • Knowledge of power systems and sensor signal processing.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center programs.
