About the position

The Electrical/Computer Engineer III position at Scientific Research Corporation involves working on advanced engineering projects related to RF systems and components. The role requires a strong background in electrical or computer engineering, with a focus on development, design, and prototyping. The engineer will be responsible for generating specifications, conducting analyses, and developing solutions to complex technical problems in RF engineering. This position requires a Top Secret security clearance and offers opportunities to work on innovative technology solutions for government and private sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, defines, analyzes, and generates complex specifications for test conduction and performance of applied research and development in RF systems.
  • Develops, documents, and implements solutions to complex technical problems associated with RF engineering products and services.
  • Researches, analyzes, and conducts equipment design and development for complex technical problems in RF and digital hardware design.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working interfaces among multi-disciplined engineering groups and customers.
  • Designs and develops RF distribution components, antennas, and feedlines according to specifications.
  • Supports firmware and hardware development for embedded system design.
  • Assists with the design and documentation of cable assemblies and printed circuit boards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Six+ years of experience as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer or Computer Engineer in development, design, and prototyping.
  • Experience in threat system analysis and RF signals processing.
  • Demonstrated experience programming microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Possess a current DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Eight years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center Programs.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, SimuLink, and MathCAD.
  • Experience developing RF components in lab and shipboard environments.
  • Knowledge of sensor signal processing and electronic warfare systems.
