About the position

The Electrical Construction Manager at Hightowers EV Solutions is responsible for overseeing the implementation of project plans related to EV charging infrastructure. This role involves direct communication with contractors and subcontractors regarding project costs, staffing, and scheduling, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare estimates and manage project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular updates, and maintain project documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely problem resolution.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
  • Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors, ensuring collaboration and adherence to project requirements.
  • Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • At least five years of project management experience in construction.
  • Strong estimating skills with experience in cost management and budgeting.
  • Proven experience working with subcontractors and managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements such as OSHA 30 hour, CPR, First Aid.
  • Project scheduling - P6 training preferred.
  • Technical writing required to respond to client RFI's and RFQ's.
  • Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes for retrofit and new construction.
  • Maintain large network of partners to allow scalability to meet customer needs and footprint.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Engineering background is a plus.
  • Certified Electrician, PMP or other project management certifications desired.
