About The Position
As an Electrical Technician at Knoebels, you will be responsible for the effective monitoring of electrical systems, which includes installation, servicing, and repair. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of various park attractions, including rides, food stands, games, and shops. You will work in both indoor and outdoor environments, adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards while performing your duties. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring that all systems function optimally for the enjoyment of our guests. Your responsibilities will include installing electrical equipment such as wiring, breaker boxes, and switches, as well as investigating problems and performing necessary repairs. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is also essential, as you will be expected to perform cleaning duties at your workstation. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical systems, particularly single and three-phase secondary systems, and familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and electrical controls is preferred. You will also be expected to develop skills in Fiber Optic installation, splicing, preparation, and testing, as well as possess basic carpentry and construction skills. In addition to technical skills, you will need to demonstrate strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, particularly when reading electrical schematics, plans, and manuals. Effective communication skills are vital, as you will interact with team members and guests, providing assistance and information as needed. A commitment to customer service and a professional demeanor are essential traits for success in this role.
