About the position

The Electrical Controls Engineer position involves extensive travel (80%) and requires expertise in programming and designing automation systems. The role focuses on working with various PLC and HMI systems, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens, and includes responsibilities in client interaction and system programming.

Responsibilities

• Program and design PLC/HMI systems using Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Siemens S7 & TIA Portal, and Schneider Electric.
• Develop and implement SCADA software solutions and programming.
• Engage in vision systems programming and VFD programming.
• Utilize communication protocols such as Ethernet and Profibus.
• Design fluid power systems including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Program robotic systems as needed.
• Interact with clients to understand their automation needs.

Requirements

• AAS or Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with PLC/HMI hardware/software programming and design.
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Siemens S7 & TIA Portal, and Schneider Electric.
• Knowledge of SCADA software programming and design.
• Experience with GE, Mitsubishi, Omron, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Citect, and/or AVEVA System Platform.
• Ability to travel 80% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with robotic systems programming.
• Familiarity with MCC's (Motor Control Centers).
