About the position
The Electrical Controls Engineer position focuses on designing and programming automation systems for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. The role involves working with various control systems, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and interacting with clients to deliver tailored solutions. This is a full-time, permanent position with a reputable automation systems integrator.
Responsibilities
- Design and program HMI/SCADA packages such as FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, and RSView.
- Perform PLC/HMI programming and design from scratch using Rockwell RSLogix 500 & 5000 and similar systems.
- Apply knowledge of cGMP and batch processes in system design and implementation.
- Work with industries such as biotech, pharma, water/wastewater, food processing, and packaging.
- Utilize Device Net and Profibus for system integration.
- Implement environmental monitoring instruments in control systems.
- Create and interpret P&ID's and I/O diagrams.
- Commission and startup control systems for operational readiness.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with programming and design of HMI/SCADA packages.
- Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming and design, particularly with Rockwell RSLogix 500 & 5000.
- Knowledge of cGMP and batch processes.
- Experience in biotech, pharma, water/wastewater, food processing, or packaging industries.
- Familiarity with Device Net and Profibus communication protocols.
- Ability to work with environmental monitoring instruments.
