About The Position

As a leading innovator in the field of climate-control solutions, Lennox is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Controls Engineer III to join our dynamic team. This position is pivotal in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and controls engineering, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test systems, as well as analyzing test data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues. Your contributions will be critical in the development and validation of test systems for new products, as well as enhancing existing systems to meet evolving industry standards. Your duties will include designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes. You will prepare and interpret technical drawings and electrical system specifications, utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform your assignments. A key aspect of your role will involve integrating test systems interface circuitry with various levels of electrical and software complexities, ensuring that all systems function seamlessly together. Collaboration is essential in this position, as you will work closely with product design engineers and technicians to develop and implement testing strategies for new products. You will set up and maintain test equipment, identify and troubleshoot issues in electrical systems, and develop comprehensive documentation related to test requirements, drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and results. Staying current with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies will be crucial to your success, as will ensuring the safety and reliability of all electrical systems. Additionally, you will provide technical support to other departments, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, and train and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Your role will also involve conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies, participating in project planning and review meetings, and supporting the development of testing protocols and procedures.
