About the position
The Electrical Controls Engineer will join the R&D team at Actalent to develop innovative applications and custom engineering solutions specifically for the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. This role emphasizes critical packaging applications, focusing on the design, selection, and implementation of components, as well as the development of proprietary technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, select, and implement components for proprietary technologies.
- Develop and program logic for various applications.
- Document and train end-users on new technologies.
- Perform release testing of finalized technologies.
- Support the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries with engineering solutions.
Requirements
- PLC programming
- HMI programming
- Experience with PLCs
- Programming in structured text, ladder logic, JavaScript, C, and C++
- PLC troubleshooting
- Controls engineering
- Automation and robotics
- Electrical schematic design
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher
Nice-to-haves
