The Connection Systems North America (CS NA) team is seeking a talented Controls (Electrical) Engineer to join our innovative workforce. This position is pivotal in providing on-site electrical engineering support within the compound extrusion operation. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Manufacturing Engineering General Supervisor and will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to enhance manufacturing systems. This role is not just about maintaining the status quo; it involves aligning new technologies with the compound extrusion industry to ensure our operations are at the forefront of innovation. As a Controls (Electrical) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting process issues alongside skilled tradesmen, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be tasked with improving processes by identifying daily manufacturing problems, such as error-proofing quality, enhancing uptime, increasing cycle speed, and reducing waste. Your expertise in metal stamping operations control systems will be essential, particularly in areas like vision system programming, terminal presses, and winding equipment. In addition to hands-on engineering tasks, you will be responsible for obtaining quotes, writing purchase requisitions for project needs, and maintaining control of spending on projects related to new equipment and existing equipment revisions. Effective communication will be key, as you will need to convey project statuses through verbal communication, electronic presentations, and various digital platforms. You will also develop planned maintenance procedures and support plant maintenance activities, ensuring that the team stays current on new technologies that can enhance our manufacturing systems. It is important to note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
