About the position

The Project Manager I position at Rosendin is a mid-level role focused on overseeing projects from planning through completion, ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service. The role involves managing small to medium projects or one large project, providing project management support under the guidance of senior management. The position emphasizes effective communication, problem-solving, and adherence to company policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.
  • Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers.
  • Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact and assess project scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Prepare complete estimates for selected projects with detailed reviews of plans and specifications.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise the preparation of all change orders and negotiate them as necessary.
  • Monitor construction activities with onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports under supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests while maintaining good client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role, which can include a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with Accubid and Oracle preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
