About the position

The Electrical Controls Specialist at Industrial Power Solutions (IPS) is a key role focused on assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining industrial control panels and related equipment. This position offers a dynamic work experience, with a mix of fieldwork and panel shop duties, contributing to the efficiency and safety of industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Assemble and wire industrial control panels to meet specifications and standards.
• Install and integrate control panels, devices, and sensors in industrial settings.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to achieve project goals.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of control systems.
• Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework are a plus.
• Experience in control panel building is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation technologies.
