About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Controls Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems for our manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, PLC programming, and automation technologies. The Electrical Controls Specialist will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. In this position, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, motors, drives, and sensors. You will develop and modify PLC programs to optimize manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime. Collaboration with engineering and production teams is essential to design and implement automation solutions for both new and existing equipment. You will also perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems, respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions. Regular inspections will be part of your responsibilities to identify potential issues and proactively address electrical safety hazards. You will document maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and programming changes for reference and compliance purposes. Additionally, training production personnel on proper equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures will be a key aspect of your role. Staying informed about advancements in electrical controls technology and recommending upgrades or improvements as needed will also be part of your duties.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical controls and automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus.
  • Familiarity with HMI programming and design principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical control systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
