About the position

The Electrical Controls Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing operations through expertise in automation controls programming and electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and HMI interfaces, focusing on optimizing efficiency and performance.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for the operation and maintenance of electrical and control systems.
  • Analyzing system data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical control systems with other manufacturing processes.
  • Ensuring all electrical control systems are compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to production teams and other stakeholders.
  • Continually staying abreast of advancements in automation and controls technology, incorporating relevant innovations into our operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in automation controls programming, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in PLC & HMI programming, ladder logic, electrical controls, SLC 500's, VFD, and Controls Logics.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, with the ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
