About the position
GHT is looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, focusing on electrical design for commercial interior projects. The role requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and approximately five to eight years of experience in electrical design. The engineer will work on lighting, power circuitry, controls, and fire alarm design, while also ensuring compliance with building and energy codes. Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for commercial interior projects, including lighting, power circuitry, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with building, energy, and green codes.
- Organize workflow and delegate tasks to team members as appropriate.
- Conduct site visits to job sites, carrying equipment and materials as needed.
- Maintain a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Approximately five to eight years of experience in electrical design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (recent releases); Revit is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical design for commercial interior projects.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Nice-to-haves
- P.E. license
- Familiarity with LEED Commercial Interiors v4.
