About the position

The Electrical Design Engineer at Actalent is responsible for the design and integration of avionics, wiring, and harnessing systems within aircraft. This role involves collaboration with electrical and structural engineers to create innovative solutions, utilizing various CAD tools to develop and release engineering definitions. The position also includes conducting trade studies, design reviews, and providing engineering support for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lay out designs for avionics, wiring, and harnessing routed through the aircraft.
• Collaborate with electrical and structural engineers to develop innovative solutions.
• Use Catia 3DX to develop and release engineering definitions.
• Conduct trade studies and design reviews for program leadership.
• Select materials and components for material compatibility.
• Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes.
• Issue Non-Conformance Dispositions and engineering drawing redlines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CATIA V6 and Catia 3DX.
• Experience with CAD packages such as Mentor Graphics, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, and Altium.
• Strong collaboration skills.
