About the position

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Haleon, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the manufacturing of electrical equipment, systems, and components. This role involves managing projects from concept through implementation, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of electrical operations within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety through electrical innovations.
  • Managing electrical projects from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Ensuring all electrical installations and operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety and engineering standards.
  • Owning the Site Electrical Safety Plan and all corresponding actions defined from IBM audit.
  • Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and start-up of electrical systems and machinery, ensuring they are operational and meet safety standards.
  • Sourcing and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovation to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Performing/Overseeing regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to maintenance and production teams, solving complex electrical issues.
  • Managing computerized system access.
  • Acting as the Laser Safety Champion for the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (E.g., NFPA 70, OSHA)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Previous experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other control systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)
