About the position

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Actalent, you will play a crucial role in supporting and redesigning existing control systems, ensuring a seamless handoff to the panel shop. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including cost estimation for control system designs and retrofits, as well as the design of electrical/control panels and motor control centers (MCC). You will be tasked with specifying parts, preparing and building Bills of Materials (BOMs), and troubleshooting customer issues via telephone as needed. This position is pivotal as the company embarks on the rollout of a brand new, industry-leading control system product, and you will be instrumental in building and running the Electrical Engineering department to support this initiative. The role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, particularly in the design and implementation of control systems. You will work closely with other engineers and departments to ensure that the designs meet customer specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will not only contribute to the technical aspects of the projects but also to the overall growth and success of the company as it continues to establish itself as a market leader in the industry. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Electrical Engineering experience outside of college/courses.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Understanding of PLC programming.
  • Experience in designing new and existing control systems.
