Electrical Design Engineer

About the position

The Electrical Design Engineer II role focuses on providing electrical and controls design for product improvements in manufactured product lines. This position involves coordinating site-wide drawings and ensuring that equipment and projects comply with engineering documents and industry standards such as UL and NEC. The role requires collaboration with production teams to ensure timely and quality project execution, with a hybrid work environment that includes both onsite and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical/controls design on product improvements for manufactured product lines.
• Coordinate site-wide drawings as applicable per site/project.
• Ensure equipment/sites/projects are built and applied per engineering documents and required standards.
• Inspect products in-progress in manufacturing to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with other teams to facilitate project execution.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, single lines, product manuals, control drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a desire for continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient with 2-D (AutoCAD) AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software.
• Knowledgeable of UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards.
