About the position

The Electrical Design Engineer at Sensata Technologies is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts and components for various electronic equipment and hardware systems. This role involves collaboration within interdisciplinary teams to tackle complex product design and manufacturing challenges, ensuring that designs meet feasibility and testing standards while maintaining thorough documentation throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Participates in creating designs within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges
• Assists with feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Coordinates development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch
• Participates in failure analysis investigations and engineering evaluations
• Maintains product documentation (drawings and specifications) and lessons including; producing design reports, test reports, operating manuals and test procedures

Requirements

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
