About the position

Join Honeywell as an Electrical Designer Engineer specializing in Analog Circuits, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. In this position, you will work with limited supervision alongside some of the world's most talented engineers, contributing to the development of Honeywell's next-generation products. Your responsibilities will include designing, testing, and validating products and processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs, while also acting as a mentor to junior engineers. Interaction with both internal and external customers will be essential to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications. As an Electrical Designer Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with a team of engineers in the design and support of hardware for space applications, particularly focusing on Honeywell's Momentum Controls Systems product lines. This role involves the design, modification, and testing of analog, digital, and power electronic circuits, as well as authoring related technical documentation. You will be expected to provide written reports and oral presentations to program or engineering management and customers, explaining technical approaches and project status. The ability to accept work assignments and perform tasks with minimal oversight is crucial, as is the capacity to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels. Adaptability to a changing environment is also a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support hardware for space applications related to Honeywell's Momentum Controls Systems product lines.
  • Modify and test analog, digital, and power electronic circuits.
  • Author related technical documentation for engineering projects.
  • Provide written reports and oral presentations to program or engineering management and customers.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Accept work assignments and perform tasks with minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the electrical engineering field, specifically within power and analog circuits.
  • Expertise in Analog Circuit Design and Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Strong electrical design and analysis capability along with good communication skills.
  • Experience with power supplies, motor drives, feedback control loops, and embedded digital controls.
  • Comfortable working on hardware in a lab environment and directing the work of other engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Basic understanding of spacecraft hardware including Momentum devices.
  • Familiarity with modeling tools such as P-SPICE and MATLAB.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with power converters and power electronics.
