About the position

The Electrical Designer Lead will mentor, provide team oversight and direction to designers supporting department leadership for offer development and project execution. They will mentor and develop designers incorporating lessons learned to maintain technical capacity and prioritize engineering tasks assessing project objectives, execution time, and cost implementation while ensuring best practices, lessons learned and improvements are realized. Using issue resolution skills for understanding engineering concepts, they will align with Engineer Leads for solutions understanding project and group constraints leveraging the best solution for each situation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide oversight to designers
• Support department leadership for offer development and project execution
• Incorporate lessons learned to maintain technical capacity
• Prioritize engineering tasks assessing project objectives, execution time, and cost implementation
• Ensure best practices and improvements are realized
• Align with Engineer Leads for solutions understanding project constraints

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear sector and design
• Experience with site and electrical installation issue resolution
• Proficiency in design software including Autocad, Microstation, E3D AVEVA
• Experience in international team building and coaching
• Ability to multi-task and flexibility with project priorities
• Leadership attitude with an understanding of teamwork

Nice-to-haves

• 10-12 years of experience in the nuclear sector and design
