About the position

The Electrical Designer at Argus Technical Services is responsible for engaging in all phases of product development, from concept to delivery. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that electronic assemblies meet specifications and customer requirements. The designer will also conduct technical analyses, generate documentation, and facilitate design reviews to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of product development (concept, architecture, design, test, & service support)
• Work with cross-functional teams to take a design from specification through to delivery.
• Review and develop technical specifications.
• Design electronic assemblies for specification compliance.
• Verify that designs meet or exceed all requirements and specifications per customer order.
• Analyze analog, digital, and power circuit designs.
• Perform detailed technical analyses and create test and analysis reports when necessary.
• Develop technical solutions to known production, reliability, or performance problems.
• Generate design documentation to ensure the delivery of a quality finished product.
• Facilitate design reviews with key stakeholders, including Design Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing.
• Travel may be necessary to facilitate sales support and/or service support.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in occupation is preferred.
• Knowledge of schematic entry and board layout tools is preferred.
• Experience with circuit simulation tools is preferred.
• Experience in electronics design, development, and test is preferred.
• Must be capable of working independently and collaborating with other team members including Mechanical Engineers, Sales Associates, and end users if required.
• Strong verbal and written skills required.
