About the position
The Electrical Designer at ANGI Energy Systems LLC is responsible for preparing electrical drawings and resolving associated fabrication problems. This role involves collaborating with the Controls Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Manager to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project schedules while following applicable codes and specifications. The position requires substantial electrical knowledge and good technical communication skills, contributing to the overall quality and functionality of designs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical drawings and resolve fabrication problems.
- Take design direction from the Controls Manager and assigned Project Engineer and Project Manager.
- Ensure design accuracy and thoroughness.
- Meet project schedule requirements.
- Design according to applicable codes and specifications.
- Provide job improvement ideas.
- Communicate technical information effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of related experience or training in electrical design.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts relevant to engineering tasks.
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, and NEMA codes.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and EPLAN Design software.
