About the position
The Electrical Drafter position involves providing drafting support in a heavy industrial environment, primarily using AutoCAD to create various electrical diagrams and schedules. The role requires a blend of computer-aided drafting and on-site measurements, ensuring accurate and efficient design documentation.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce electrical diagrams and schedules.
- Create single line diagrams, schematic drawings, I/O lists, and conduit schedules.
- Spend approximately 75% of the time on computer-aided drafting and 25% on the plant floor for measurements.
Requirements
- Ability to create 2D designs using AutoCAD.
- Ability to create single line diagrams, schematic drawings, I/O lists, and conduit schedules.
- Associate degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology (EMET), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Minimum of 1 year experience with AutoCAD.
