About the position

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter to join our dynamic team in Hopewell, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics that support our engineering and design projects. This role requires proficiency in various drafting software and a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit.
• Create and modify electrical system designs, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
• Utilize NavisWorks for 3D modeling and visualization of projects.
• Prepare documentation for project proposals, including specifications and design criteria.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the development of logic controllers and other system designs as required.
• Use Bluebeam for markup and collaboration on design documents.

Requirements

• Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and NavisWorks.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and electrical systems.
• Experience in creating schematics for various engineering applications.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and system design principles is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Revit (3 years preferred)
