About the position

The Electrical Engineer will be part of a design team responsible for preparing construction drawings for various systems including lighting, power distribution, and electronic safety for commercial and public facilities. The role involves designing complete systems from conception to construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD, while collaborating with team members to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Prepares project layouts and construction plans.
• Assists in the preparation and maintenance of complete project documentation including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates.
• Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques and procedures to project assignments.
• Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of engineering work on multiple projects.
• Assists in the preparation of project scopes, budgets, schedules, and specifications.
• Assists with proposals including bid documents and project reports.
• Assembles permit submittals for City, County, and State agencies.
• Performs basic and moderately complex engineering design calculations.
• Aids in construction administration services and responds to construction needs.
• Assists in site observation work and compiles site visit reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2 years' experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is desired.
• General understanding of the National Electrical Code is desired.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
