As an Electrical Engineer at Black & Veatch, you will play a crucial role in addressing some of the world's most pressing infrastructure challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects that cater to the needs of our clients, contributing significantly to the growth and success of Black & Veatch. You will be assigned to a functional area that may include Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Power System Studies, Renewables, Conventional Generation, Gas Fuels and Chemicals, Nuclear, Mining, Water/Wastewater, Telecom/Electric Vehicle Charging, or Data Centers. In this role, you will be expected to understand departmental design guides, engineering codes, standards, and company policies. You will assist in producing less complex electrical engineering deliverables such as reports, drawings, specifications, and limited-scope studies. Your responsibilities will also include completing routine research and developing recommendations for equipment and material selection, as well as collecting, managing, and assimilating engineering data for various projects. You will prepare fundamental power system analysis and electrical component sizing calculations based on established engineering principles, while adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Understanding both internal client needs and external client interests will be essential to your success in this position.
