About the position

The Electrical Engineer 1 position is a critical role within a global Medical Device company, focusing on the development of innovative implantable medical devices. The engineer will be responsible for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting electrical tests on implantable electronics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and performance specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and evaluate electrical tests currently in development, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
• Execute Electrical Design Verification Tests (EDVT) to validate product performance against specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on prototypes and existing products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine specifications and improve product functionality.
• Complete project deliverables and monitor project schedule and scope changes to assure team can meet delivery requirements.
• Document test procedures, results, and any design changes in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
• Maintain equipment and instruments.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to project planning activities.
• Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
• Communicate project status to project teams.
• Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• 0 - 1 Year experience with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Programmable Function Generators, Digital and Analog Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies (DC/AC), LabVIEW Programming and Automation, Power Analyzers, Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ Cards), Source Measure Units (SMUs), Soldering and Circuit Assembly, Assembling and Testing Custom Test Fixtures/Boards, Troubleshooting and Debugging Electronic Test Boards.
