The Electrical Engineer II will play a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of embedded systems specifically within the Outdoor Equipment category. This position requires collaboration throughout the product development process in a team environment, engaging with cross-functional stakeholders including hardware, firmware, product development, and test engineers. The role is based onsite at our headquarters in Anderson, South Carolina. In this position, you will execute a lead role in the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects. You will provide your expertise and engineering support on high complexity projects, utilizing laboratory equipment to debug and develop your designs with tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, ESD/EMC, data acquisition systems, and analysis software. Effective communication and motivation across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members will be essential. You will drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that align with the organization's needs, while independently tracking projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the TTI product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics hardware and firmware for mid to high complexity projects.
  • Provide expertise and engineering support on high complexity projects.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment to debug and develop designs with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, ESD/EMC, data acquisition systems, and analysis software.
  • Effectively communicate and motivate team members across the organization, both technical and non-technical.
  • Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for achieving key project metrics.
  • Independently track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and the TTI product development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Embedded Electronics design field including 32-bit microcontroller-based circuits.
  • Demonstrated design experience in motor drives in embedded hardware and firmware implementations.
  • Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgment, and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
