Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and oversight of electrical systems, particularly focusing on low to medium voltage electrical equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of the National Electric Code and NFPA70E requirements, ensuring compliance and safety in all engineering practices. In this position, the Electrical Engineer will be assigned to Structures, Systems, and Components (SSCs) and will act as the Technical Authority for system design requirements, performance criteria, and maintenance. The engineer will maintain a comprehensive System Engineering notebook that includes vendor technical information, standards references, lessons learned, and a history of repairs and modifications. This documentation is crucial for supporting maintenance and operations activities, reviewing and approving work orders, and ensuring that all technical information in documents is accurate and representative of the assigned systems. The Electrical Engineer will also be involved in training activities related to assigned systems and will review and approve changes to documentation, ensuring that all modifications comply with company-level procedures. This role is essential for maintaining proper configuration management for assigned systems, including design changes and commercial grade dedication determinations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the operational integrity and reliability of electrical systems within our projects.
