About the position

As a Project Engineer, you will hold a pivotal role with technical responsibility for planning and conducting various technical projects or phases of projects. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance with established standards, guides, precedents, methods, and techniques within the electrical engineering discipline. You will be tasked with establishing electrical and electronic engineering design criteria, providing guidance, and evaluating facility projects to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. In this role, you will conduct work in specialized areas such as high voltage electrical distribution systems, electrical system load and short-circuit studies, instrumentation and control systems, power and lighting systems, fire detection systems, cathodic protection systems, isolated and emergency power systems, and other unique electrical/electronic systems. You will coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and electronic technicians to ensure project success and adherence to timelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and recommending design approaches for new and improved products and processes. This will involve conducting independent technical investigations that may include the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and efficiency within the projects you oversee.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with established standards, guides, precedents, methods, and techniques within discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Five (5) years of job-related experience in electrical engineering and design required.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
