About the position

We are seeking an enthusiastic electrical engineer to join our Display Engineering Team and work on groundbreaking products. This is a design engineering position that entails working with multi-functional groups to innovate the technology implemented in consumer electronics products. The successful candidate will apply their engineering expertise to tackle meaningful engineering problems by selecting components, crafting schematics, directing layout, and bringing-up/debugging circuits in the lab. You will collaborate with a large number of groups including DFM, Software, HW Test, etc., to bring a product from concept to mass production. You are expected to help define exciting product features that will touch our customers and have access to state-of-the-art test equipment in labs to perform characterization of your circuits. Additionally, you will define test criteria and execute these test plans on functional prototypes to demonstrate the robustness of your designs. The role may require occasional travel domestically and overseas to work with our manufacturing partners to ensure the success of the product. Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering expertise to innovate technology in consumer electronics products.
  • Select components, craft schematics, and direct layout for circuit designs.
  • Bring-up and debug circuits in the lab environment.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams including DFM, Software, and HW Test to bring products from concept to mass production.
  • Help define product features that enhance customer experience.
  • Perform characterization of circuits using state-of-the-art test equipment.
  • Define test criteria and execute test plans on functional prototypes.
  • Occasionally travel domestically and overseas to work with manufacturing partners.

Requirements

  • 3+ years significant industry experience crafting consumer electronics and/or embedded systems.
  • Strong EE fundamentals in analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc.
  • Experience crafting high-volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers.
  • Experience with leading PCB technology and electrical design.
  • Experience in one or more of: MCU, power (DC-DC converters, power management, low power design), analog circuits, display technology, and integration.
  • Experience in FPGA is a plus.
  • Expertise in board CAD tools including Cadence Concept & Allegro.
