About the position
The Electrical Engineer - Circuit Design is a mid-level technical role focused on electrical circuit design, including component selection and application analysis. The position involves circuit architecture, conducting trade studies, and overseeing development activities from integration to production. The engineer will utilize industry-standard analysis tools to produce documented circuit designs that align with system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design digital and analog circuits for performance, signal integrity, and EMI.
- Conduct component analysis with a focus on worst-case, stress, and reliability analysis.
- Organize and conduct research studies or analyses to solve moderately complex technical problems.
- Gather, correlate, and analyze technical information necessary for assigned tasks.
- Prepare reports, charts, graphs, and other documentation related to circuit design.
- Evaluate system requirements and perform trade studies.
- Architect assemblies and establish design verification test specifications.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in electronics design and development
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Experience with engineering tools such as Spice modeling and Mathcad/Matlab.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Altium schematic/layout tools
- Experience with defense/aerospace hardware/environments and MILSTDs
- Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software
- Team/group/project leadership experience
