About the position

The Electrical Engineer at CMTA will work collaboratively with a team to design energy-efficient buildings for various clients. This role involves engaging in all phases of project development, focusing on electrical systems, power distribution, and renewable energy solutions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and possesses a strong technical background, contributing to the firm's commitment to sustainable building engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems for various projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated responses.
  • Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
  • Review contractor submittals to ensure conformance with contract documents.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to perform assigned tasks.
  • Confer with other engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications to evaluate feasibility and maintenance requirements.
  • Specify system components or direct modifications to ensure conformance with engineering design specifications.
  • Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products and systems to meet requirements.
  • Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of power distribution systems.
  • Experience in construction and energy sectors.
